The control and regulatory mechanisms for many biological processes are dependent on peptides and proteins derived from amino acids. Our lab rationally designs synthetic agents, peptidomimetic agents that are useful in the selective and specific treatment of anti-inflammatory diseases, cancer, and infectious pathogens. We also utilize fluorescence guidance for diagnostic probing.
